We are in the most diversed county of the World, Queens County where the district attorney is the most powerful person in the criminal justice system and one of the most powerful elected officials in our community and the top prosecutor, the DA’s job is to seek justice in criminal cases, work to prevent crime, and serve as a leader in the diverse communities of Queens. Therefore, our people from minor communities like Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan need equal attention as others in any issues related for justice. As our 36th President Lyndon_B_Johnson had said that ”Every citizen, regardless of his race, creed, or color, is entitled to equal justice”. So as we all know that Our Queens Borough President Melinda Katz has devoted her life in serving our Borough.
I believe that our Queens Borough President will be reforming the Queens DA’s office from top to bottom. Melinda is very well experienced & a skilled lawyer that I have learnt, and the only DA Candidate that can advocate for equal justice on behalf of the people of Queens. She listens to the issues from Minorities like us from Nepali-American communities to the Majorities and gives the fair justice. We, the Democrat members from Nepali-American Communities are with Melinda Katz and we are proud to endorse her for Queens District Attorney.
