GPK Koirala Foundation America held a historic meeting with dignitaries in New York.

President of GPK Foundation America Mr. Somnath Ghimire had a brief meeting with Ms. Malini Shah-Cultural Liaison for Council Member Paul Vallone, Shri Himanshu Vyas-Secretary of All India Congress Committee, Pastor Emmanuel Esse, Mr. Vivek Thapar-Managing Director of Mirch Media, Ms. Sophia Sharma LLM-(Attorney at Law) & Sir Terrence Hall-Chief Security Adviser of the President of Guyana in Glendale, Long Island, New York this afternoon.

The meeting lasted for two hours and they all agreed to empower and uplift the various communities’ members especially youth and bring unity among South Asians in the US. Secretary of All India Congress Committee Shri Himanshu Vyas briefed about the sacrifice of Girija Prasad Koirala. He said that Girija Babu was active in the politics in Nepal for more than sixty years and became four times Prime Minister of the country and was one of the most influential leader in the country’s political and cultural scene. He extended his full support for the mission, and urged to work together. Mr. Vyas appreciated our Central President Hon. Sujata Koirala for her great leadership promoting her father’s vision globally.
