GPK Foundation America Invited in the Celebration of 72nd Anniversary of Sri Lanka’s Independence in New York.

Girija Prasad Koirala Foundation America participated in celebration of 72nd Independence Anniversary of Sri Lanka on February 9, 2020 in Manhattan, New York City. Queens Borough President Hon. Sharon Lee, Director of South East Asian Affairs for Brooklyn Borough President Eric L Adams Mr. Dilip Chauhan, Director of Community Affairs from the Office of Queens Borough President Dr. Mohamed Hack, & ICCD INERFAITH President Md. Arsalaan were among the distinguished guests present in this event. President of GPK Foundation America- Somnath Ghimire, Vice President Subarna Lama and Central Member Prem Poudel attended the celebration. Senior Leader of Sri Lankan Community of Tri-State Mr. Arssath Uthumalebbe is commendable for his great leadership. The presentation of Sri Lankan arts & culture, traditions & customs and dances were wonderful & excellent. GPK Foundation would also like to thank Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the United Nations Mrs. Kshenuka Senewiratne for the invitation to celebrate the 72nd Independence Anniversary of Sri Lanka. Her vision of bringing all communities together and build strong relations for better future of all is praisable.
